"Moors Heather" - Debbie Scott
In this painting I wanted to capture the colour and texture of wild moorland. Sketches and photographs were taken while taking long walks and later the painting was created in my studio. While the sketches were made in and around North Yorkshire, this is not an attempt to recreate a specific vista, more an attempt to capture the mood and spirit of this wonderful area. I often return to paint this landscape with this colour palette.
